Greg was given a kite surfing lesson for Christmas and so on Saturday, the first day with a little bit of wind in over 2 weeks, Greg met with the instructor at a park in East Auckland, and he started to learn all about the kite surfing gear and also how to fly a kite. The kite he was flying is called a trainer kite and has an area of 1.2 square metres. The real thing will be ten times that size at 11m2 but he won't get to play with that one until his next lesson.
